Thanks to the fact that I graduated from the Alberto Merani Institute, I began to study medicine when I was 15 years old, I won two scholarships during my undergraduate studies and at the age of 21 I was already practicing this beautiful profession.
I worked for 3 years as a surgical assistant, I attended hundreds of procedures (cesarean sections, appendectomies, joint replacements, open heart surgery, hysterectomies, prostatectomies, microsurgery, etc.) but my favorites were plastic surgeries and hand surgeries.
At the age of 24 I began my training as a plastic surgeon, during the 4 years that my specialization lasted I learned the principles of reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery.
I wanted to become a hand surgeon and that is why I did a Fellowship to learn how to reconstruct fractured tendons and other types of hand problems.
This path took me 14 years to travel.
